What books are your memories?

I love this quote because it is so fitting to my bookshelves. I have so many books that were a piece of my childhood that I refuse to give away. A few of my favorites are A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle, The Babysitters Club by Ann M. Martin, And most anything having to do with the infamous Nancy Drew.

Do you have any books that you cannot get rid of due to emotional attachment?

  1. I have some Stephen King books that I read around late middle school age that I am emotionally attached to. Also, before that in late elementary age I read a lot of the Goosebumps (Erhmergerd, Guursebeerrmps!) but never really hung onto them. I have a few from adulthood that I am sentimental towards that I hang onto. One in particular is a not as popular book called, "Which Brings Me To You" that details love letters between a man and a woman who had a chance fling at a wedding. I read with/to Maggie when we first started dating so it has some sentimental value.

  2. That is beautiful! I read a lot of the goosebumps as well but nothing really ever stuck. I love the story that you read with your wife. That is so wonderful.

  3. I always love Island of the Blue Dolphins. It is a childhood favorite that I would recommend to anyone.
