Well Rachel has done it again for us! She has read and reviewed another interesting book for us to check out, so here is what she has to say about The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton"I just finished The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. I don't read a lot of straight fiction (without it being a mystery or fantasy or a classic), but my mom recommended this, and I have been telling her for a while that I would read it. I will probably take her recommendations a tad more seriously in the future. This ended up being a very engrossing book. It starts with a little bit of a mystery. Four year old Nell arrives at the docks of a port in Australia with no one to pick her up. The dock master takes her home, and with no clue to her family, end up raising her as their own. When her father reveals the secret on her 21st bday, Nell's world shatters. From there, we follow the timelines of Nell, her granddaughter, and the family she didn't know she had. Ranging from the early 1900s to 2005, the stories intertwine easily and leave you in a state of constant anticipation at learning the next clue to Nell's past. It was a longish book, but it read very quickly, and I had a hard time putting it down at night." -Rachel
