The Paris Wife

Happy Sunday morning!
How is your weekend? Mine has been fantastic. Are you as thrilled as I am about the start of this book? I know I am! So I am going to get off this computer and spend some quiet time with my new book, and I suggest you do the same. :)

Happy Reading!

  1. So i finally started this book- a little late in the month, but there you are. First, let me say that I am really enjoying the voice of this book. It is so light and airy and easy. I was pulled in from the beginning, though I have to admit that may also be due to some personal reasons. My dad grew up just a few miles from Hemingway's summer house, and really so did I. Walloon is where I spent summers since I was born. Secondly, I had a prof who was part of the EH Society and taught 'The Sun Also Rises', so there are some early references that make sense to me. I am now kind of wishing I had tackled more Hemingway. I'm looking forward to see what others are getting out of this. :)

    1. Better late then never! I have yet to finish it, I like the story but I find myself wanting facts, not fiction with these characters. I do not know why exactly, maybe because my husband LOVES Hemingway and we visited his home in Key West. So I am having a hard time getting into this book because I know it is fictional about real characters. Normally I enjoy the books that deal with non-fiction mixed with fiction. But there is something different when the main characters are truly not fiction but the conversations and some of the circumstances are.
I do know I will be reading a lot more about his life in his biography's and in Hadleys.
